Character 1 byte A single alphanumerical character (digit, letter, symbol)
Integer 4 bytes Can store a whole number (NO DECIMALS) e.g. 5, 3478654, 393264
Real 8 bytes Used when there is a decimal point with a fractional number. (8745.34, 777.8)
Boolean 1 byte Used for logical operations and have the value TRUE or FALSE
String 1 byte Stores an alphanumeric value as an array (Hello world)
