Life Cycle- Exiting the Cat Excreted in feces as oocysts (this is when accidental infection of humans occur)
Life Cycle- Oocyst Maturation Mature in soil and are picked up by mice/birds
Life Cycle- In the Gut In the gut, oocysts rupture and produce tachzoites
Life Cycle- In the Muscle Tachyzoites replicate more slowly
Life Cycle- Consumption Tachzoite is eaten by cat and converts to an oocyst
Symptoms (Healthy) Usually none, can infect the retinal
Symptoms (Immunocompromised) Confusion
Symptoms (Congenital Infection) Mental retardation, seizures, blindness
