1. Organelles

   • Have their own specific role within the cell
   • Each contribute to the survival of the cell
     • DIVISION OF LABOUR

2. Cytoskeleton

   • Cells contain a network of fibres made of protein
     • They provide an internal framework = cytoskeleton
   • Actin filaments
     • Fibres are able to move against each other
       • Cause the movement in some white blood cells
   • Microtubules
     • May be used to move a microorganism through a liquid

3. Undulipodia & Cilia

   • Structurally they are the same
     • Made up of a cylinder containing nine microtubules arranged in a circle
     • Another two microtubules in a central bundle
     • Undulipodia are longer than cilia
   • Undulipodia and cilia can move
     • The microtubules use energy produced by Adenosine triphosphate (ATP)
   • Some Bacteria have flagella
     • Have a different internal structure to Undulipodia
