1. Control Systems

   • Toys, gaming and smart meters are everyday examples of control systems
   • Data from sensors is first processed
   • After the computer decides whether to send a control signal
   • Central heating systems is an example of a feedback systems
   • A burgar alarm is an example of a non-feedback system

2. Writing Instructions

   • RT means right turn and is followed with the number of degrees, such as RT60
   • FD means forward and is followed by distance in cm, such as FD10
   • Bit pattern tables are used to show how computers switch equipment on or off
     • 1 means on and 0 means off
