Personal response
I find the Book Thief a very interesting book which is filled with adventure and another side to
the second world war. I like being able to relate to Liesel as she is an average girl with her mind
always with her own opinion. she has a great skill which is that she is able to express these
opinions. The book is full with bravery and different types of love. This makes it extremely
interesting as it creates tension and adrenaline. This is done as it is in Nazi Germany and being
on the side of non-jews but also a non-supporter of Aldolf Hitler. This is also created as when
ever something slightly wrong happens you go tense and feel like evryone will be found out and
hurt badly and as you grow fond of the characters it is hard to let go of the book. I would
recomend this book to everyone in the universe even if they hate these sorts of books.
