1. Banquo has a small conversation with Fleance

2. Macbeth enters with a servant and speaks to Banquo

3. Banquo asks why Macbeth is still awake and Macbeth vaguely explains his plans for the king

4. Banquo shows his respect for Macbeth but also his uncertainty and worry for him since meeting the "three weird sisters"

5. The bell goes to show midnight, meaning it is time for Macbeth to complete the first part of his plan to become King

6. Macbeth starts to see the dagger in front of his , *his conscience*

7. Macbeth doubts the plan for a moment but the bell carries on like a signal

8. Macbeth got the soldiers guarding the King drunk so that he could sneak in

9. Lady Macbeth hears Macbeth's screams knowing he has done it

10. Macbeth begins to panic a lot when people find the king dead in his bed

11. Lady Macbeth and Macbeth await the news about the new king and "anticipate the future"

12. Macbeth's conscience is getting strong enough to stop him from metaphorically speaking

13. Shakespeare uses the term "bloodstained" to say that the devil has shown up in the story

14. Macbeth is shown to have been spell bound and is thinking too much after the three witches

15. He is said to be a downright liar since the murder because he will not speak a word about it whatsoever

16. Waves of guilt flood through Macbeth
