1. The murder of Duncan stays on Macbeth's mind

2. He feels tormented by the memories and images of daggers and blood on his hands

3. Lady Macbeth carries on trying to cover up for Macbeth to Banquo and Macduff because she cares about him so much

4. Macbeth knows that by the evening, Banquo will no longer be alive so Lady Macbeth will not have to cover over to him any longer leaving her less worry

5. He also doesn't have to worry about going up against Banquo for the most king like

6. Over the days he reminds himself of everything the witches said

7. He uses the prophecies as a constant reminder of where he wants to get to and soon

8. Macbeth removes his "mask" and reveals the guilt he is feeling

9. Due to Macbeth getting murderers to do the job for him, he doesn't have to worry about having blood stained hands infront of watching eyes

10. He no longer has to worry like he did when everyone was asking him about killing Duncan

11. Even though no body is questioning him, Macbeth carries on covering up the actions for no reason

12. Macbeth carries on murdering because he wants to get to his prophecy faster than the witches explained

13. Everything breaks out into war of who is the king and who is right and who is wrong

14. This is more light and dark imagery through the confliction between people about right and wrong
