   • advantages
     • they are durible because they have no moving pats in them
     • higer proformance
     • light wieght meaning esier to carry around in day to day life
   • disadvantages
     • they are way more expensive for more storage
   • examples
     • usb stick
     • laptop
     • phone

2. magnetic state

   • advantages
     • good for if you are showing a presentation
     • easely movable from one place to another because they are small size
     • sime are very slim so can fit in your pocket
   • disadvantages
     • thry are easy to break and actually more exxpensive than a usb drive
     • more expensive because ther is no moving parts and is more durible
   • example
     • floppy disk
     • CD
     • VHS tape

3. optical

   • Advantages
     • easy to carry around
     • cheap to produce because of its fragile state
     • all the big populer movie makers use optical storage because then they can make a flashy case to go with it
   • Disadvantage
     • fragile and easy to break because of its slim size
     • slower dater tranfer
     • only has a limited numeber of writes
