Secondary storage is non volatile storage that stores data permanently
optical

- Has a smaller capacity compared to magnetic and solid state meaning that you can't store as much data on these devices, therfore you are more likely to get magnetic or solid state
- Not very durable and is more likely to break compared to magnetic because it has moving parts so that it is more likely to break
- Advantages
- Cost effective compared to solid state and magnetic, therefore you get more product out of your money
- Disadvantages
