1 COSMOLOGICAL
1.1 argument that everything must have been started off
1.1.1 'caused' by something else
1.1.1.1 causation
1.2 Cause and effect
1.3 everything that happens (effect) must have had something that made it happen (cause)
1.4 nothing happens by itself. everything needs a cause.
1.4.1 Therefore the universe must have a cause
1.4.1.1 Only God could have caused the universe to come about.
1.4.1.1.1 Therefore there must be a God.
2 TELEOLOGICAL
2.1 design
2.1.1 Idea things with a function or purpose must have been created for that purpose.
2.2 WILLIAM PALEY
2.2.1 philosopher
2.2.1.1 watch theory
2.2.1.1.1 everything needs a designer
2.2.2 to design something takes intelligence and thought
2.2.2.1 universe shows evidence of design (DNA)
2.2.2.1.1 Therefore a Being with intelligence/thought must have designed it
2.2.2.1.1.1 Only God could do this.
