How To Shoot A Free-Throw in Basketball
  1. FIRST: Position your body behind foul shot line. The line will run parallel to the front of the rim.
    1. NEXT: Align your dominant leg with the front of the rims so that if a line were to be drawn from your leg to the rim, it would be perpendicular.
      1. THEN AFTER THAT: Place the basketball in hand with a loose grip. Note: The ball should on be touching only your fingers with a finger-size air pocket the palm and bottom to ball.
        1. NOW: With ball in hand, position the forearm of your shooting arm in front of the goal and rim. Make sure your arm is relaxed.
          1. AFTER THAT: While maintaining this position, bend your knees slightly. Make sure your back remains straight.
            1. BEFORE RELEASING: Place your eyes on the basketball goal and eliminate any exterior noise.
              1. FINALLY: Release the ball in an over-and-up position and hold your arm in the arm after ball has left yours hands. Watch in astonishment as the ball snaps through the net!
