Resource summary

Plant Cells
  1. Nucleus - Contains genetic material, which controls the activities of the cell
    1. Cytoplasm - Most chemical processes take place here, controlled by enzymes
      1. Cell Membrane - Controls the movement of substances into and out of the cell
        1. Mitochondria - Most energy is released by respiration here
          1. Ribosomes - Proteins synthesis happens here
            1. Cell Wall - Strengthens the cell
              1. Chloroplasts - Contains chlorophyll, which absorbs light energy for photosynthesis
                1. Permanent Vacuole - Filled with cell sap to help keep the cell turgid (enlarged and swollen with water)
