1. Cordelia

   • Speaks truth when Lear confronts her and requests to know how much she loves him.

2. Kent

   • Speaks truth when Lear banishes Cordelia.

3. Edmund

   • Purposefully doesnt speak the truth when he accuses his brother, Edgar, of wanting to kill their father, Gloucester.
   • He lies to both Goneril and Regan about loving them in order to gain power and thus move up the social hierarchy.

4. Goneril and Regan

   • Lie to Lear about how much they love him in order to gain power through gaining his land. (Lear gives his land away to his daughters depending on how much they say they love him.)
     • Goneril and regan plot against their father as soon as he gives them some land.
