Training is important for new and existing employeesInduction training is training for new employees. It must involve health and safety.In-house training is training that usually happens within the work place.A method of in-house training is being shown how by experienced colleagues.A disadvantage of in-house training is an employee may not be good at demonstrating or explaining to a new recruit. An advantage of in-house training is that it is cheap and does not cost anything for travel.Off-the-job training is training that takes employees away from their normal work place.An advantage of off-the-job training is that experts can be used.A disadvantage of off-the-job training is trainees are not learning to work as part off the team that they eventually will be working with. A method of external training is day release from work to attend college.
