TRADE UNIONS:
The introduction of trade unions has resulted in these key benefits:
reduced discrimination in the workplace
higher pay
superior working conditions
DISADVANTAGE:
by demanding wages that are above the market equilibrium wage, trade unions could increase unemployment.
they may hold back technological advances that could benefit society. For example, many tube trains in London can run autonomously but are not due to trade union strength.
