Polarisation

Polarization is a property of waves that can oscillate in more than one orientation - i.e. light waves

Polarized light waves are light waves that only have vibrations in one orientation

The most common way of polarizing light is through using a Polaroid filter

Waves - Polarization

Polarization is used in your sun glasses, by eliminating the vibrations in one orientation to make everything appear darker!
