Social Studies: Water Resources

What's the problem?

Water is one of the important resources. We can't live without the water. However, people are polluting this valuable resource.Let's learn Which problems are existing because of the polluting of water resources.

Drinking water is only a little.

First of all, ocean occupies 70% of the Earth surface. There are a lot of water in the ocean, why don't we use it? Because we CAN'T use it! If we drink water in the ocean, the salinity will accumulate in our bodies. This will make us unhealthy. If we purify water, we might have to spend a lot of money, time, and human resources. As a result, we only have 1% of water can use and drink.

Islands are sinking in the ocean, and animals are having fewer places live.

Dozens of islands had sank in the ocean. Why? Because water level increased. The main reason is melting glaciers. Glaciers melted because of global warming. And human caused the global warming. The animals that live in the Arctic are losing their shelter. We must protect them.

Water Shortage

we are lacking drinking water, that means we don't have much water can use. In the near future, the water might disappear on the Earth if we don't look after it.

Countries which have water shortage

Right now, there are many people are dying because they don't have enough water to drink. But in other countries, Many people are wasting water. What should we do for the children who are drinking dirty water instead of clean water?
