- 1DefinitionRelationship between two co-variables
- 2Types- Positive (as one inscreases, the other increases);
- Negative (as one increases, the other decrases). - 3Advantages- Allows predictions to be made;
- Allows quantification of relationship;
- No manipulation. - 4Disadvantages- Quantification problems (high correlation is not always significant/ low correlation can be significant);
- Cannot establish cause and effect;
- Extraneous relationship;
- Only works for linear relationships.
