- 3What was the procedure of Asch's experiment?Participants were shown two cards at a time. One with a 'standard line' and one with three 'comparison lines'. One of these was the same length and the other two were clearly different. Participants were then asked to say which one was the same.

- 11How did the task difficulty affect conformity rates?Conformity increased when the task difficulty was harder. Lucas et al proved this.
- 12What is a limitation of Asch's study?His study could be suggested it was a child of it's time because Perrin and Spencer repeated the study with engineering students in the UK where only 1 student conformed out of 396 trials.
- 13What is another limitation of Asch's study?The situations was artificial and the act of identifying lines was a trivial matter that did not mirror real life situations.
- 14What is one other limitation of Asch's study?There is a limited application of findings in this study because he only experimented on males. There is evidence to suggest that women are more conformist as well as collectivist cultures such as China.
