                    4. Nodular
                      1. Wet Consistency

                            1. Especially Haemangioma/ haemangiosarcoma

                                  1. Primary Sites (Canine):

                                    1. Ex. Rhodococcus equi, Arcanobacterium pyogenes, Strep equi, Bovine traumatic reticuloperitonitis
                                    2. Fibrosarcoma
                                      1. Fibrocytes
                                      2. Leimyosarcoma
                                        1. Smooth muscle cells
                                      3. Benign Nodular Hyperplasia is very common in old dogs
                                    3. Metastases to the Spleen
                                      1. Ex. Malignant Melanoma

                                        1. Splattered spleen syndrome
                                        2. Siderofibrotic plaques/gamma-gandy bodies

                                              1. In peripheral (subcapsular) zones most prone
                                                1. Where spleen is distended w/ blood, more prone to infarction
