1. Eid = festivity

   • Fitr = to break fast

2. Celebrated at the end of Ramadan

   • First day of shawwal

3. Why?

   • Muhammed and Imams celebrated Eid
   • Muhammed told muslims to wear good clothes, put on perfume and go to the mosque

4. What?

   • Muslims eat a small breakfast
     • A sign of not fasting
     • Preferably date fruit
   • People dress in new, clean clothes
   • Attend special Eid prayers
   • Visit graveyards
   • Family and friends visited
