Present perfect + for/since

Use the present perfect (have/has  + past participle) + for/since to talk about something that started in the past and continues up to the present. Use for with a period of time   (five years/ ten months).                 He's (has) worked at Avco for  (two days/ three weeks/ ages).Use since with a point in time  (September/ 2005).                I've worked here since (my birthday/  Friday/  I was sixteen)I have worked here for twenty years.     I have worked here since  2011.              He has worked in New York for a long time.      He has worked in New York since April.             We have taught at this school for two years.   We have taught at this school since 1991.
