The stories were based upon childhood experiences (from relatives). The participants were then proceeded to write down what they remember about each story.

- 4ConclusionThe study suggests that the simple act of imaging an event has the potential of creating and implanting false memories into a person. Overall showing that false memories are an example of reducing accuracy in memory.
