Intelligence- Kaylee Sanchez

  1. Emotional Intelligence

    • Used to identify and control your own emotions and those around you. With this type of intelligence, the person will be able to connect these emotions to decisions like your thoughts and actions and understand others' emotions. (S. Grison & M.S. Gazzaniga, 2019. p.317)
      • Emotional intelligence in Nursing
        • Emotional intelligence is a great sense of intelligence to have as a nurse, being able to recognize the emotions of the patients is something that is needed every day in work. Being able to form relationships with the patients and care for them on a deeper level will make caring for them come with ease. It is said that nursing is emotionally overwhelming and as a nurse being able to have self-awareness of your emotions makes emotional intelligence something that I would need to have. (uwf.org, 2020)
      • Every day I recognize how high my emotional intelligence is, this is because I notice how I am able to connect to my friends and strangers very because I am able to identify their emotions and connect to them on a deeper level. I am also very self aware to my emotions and know how control them very well in certain situations
  2. General Intelligence

    • This intelligence is commonly referred to as a single factor for any performance of a task. A person with a form of intelligence is known to have a higher IQ score for intelligence, and they are usually associated with great advantages in math and writing, and medical understanding. (S. Grison & M.S. Gazzaniga, 2019. p.316)
  3. Multiple Intelligences

    • This is one of the intelligence that is not able to be measured by the IQ test, it is tested the intellectual talents of the person. The talents that are included are set in genres like bodily-kinesthetic, mathematical/ logical, musical, spatial, intrapersonal, interpersonal, and linguistics. (S. Grison & M.S. Gazzaniga, 2019. p.317)
  4. Triarchic Theory

    • A theory that Robert Sternberg theorized stating that there are three different bits of intelligence, being practical, creative, and analytical intelligence. Analytical intelligence according to Sternberg is that this intelligence is connected to problem-solving, puzzles, and similar tests. Practical is the intelligence of being able to do an everyday task or have good judgment. Creative intelligence is being able to create greater ways to think and apply it to a task or situation. (American Psychological Association, 2019)
      • I score very high in regards to Sternberg's theory, I have high levels. of intelligence in the analytical portion of this intelligence. I am. able to solve. puzzles, and very good problem-solving in many different situations. Practical intelligence is more average than high but still. very great intelligence as I am able to use good judgment , especially for problem-solving and puzzles. I am very creative with finding different ways to solve problems or difficult situations. I know this because when I work in a team I always tend to find a completely different way of solving something then the rest of my team.
  5. Fluid and Crystallized Intelligence

    • Fluid is being able to think quickly and flexibly in novel complex situations
    • Crystallized is intelligence that is learned through lessons in education or their own experiences and with these they are able to. apply these to problems or situations
