1. STRENGTH

   • Baddley
     • P: Task involving describing the letter F at the same time as watching a laser light move on the screen
       • Both tasks uses the visuo-spatial scratchpad which makes the performance time slower than when the two tasks were done separately
         • Indicates that the single visuo component was overloaded & had a hard time coping
   • Shallice & Warrington studied the case study of KF, whose LTM was intact but his STM was impaired in the visual component but not for sounds.
     • Indicates that the visual component is separate from the verbal component & this supports the WMM that the STM is made up of different components
