   • Cowan suggested it was more like 4 chunks
     • Reviewing research, he concluded it is more likely the lower end of Millers prediction are correct

3. Research to support

   • Jacobes- Conducted the DIGIT SPAN study
     • Found participants struggled after 7 chunks

4. Lack of Validity

   • Jacobs study was completed a long time ago, where several variable are likely to have been uncontrolled
   • P's may have been distracted which will have affected their accuracy of recall
     • Reducing validity of results
