There is a thief downstairs when Peter falls off his chair.

A year passes by without their being caught.

Peter and Anne become closer.

Mr. Van Daan is caught taking food.

DDay

There is a phone ringing and ringing.

There is a screeching car stopped in front of their building and soldiers breaking in.

Anne must leave her diary behind when they are taken into captivity.

It is 1945, Mr. Frank is reading the diary to Mr. Kraler and Miep.
