Flowchart content

  1. FORCES

  2. What is a force?

Either a push or pull. there are measured in Newtons (N)

  3. Types of forces:

    Gravity

    Thrust

    Friction

    Air resistance (Drag)

    Upthrust

  4. What do forces do?

Forces effect how objects move. For example:

    Start moving

    Move faster

    Change direction

    Move slower

    Stop moving

    Change shape

  5. Mass:

The amount of material measured in kilograms. This is the same anywhere in the world.

  6. Weight:

The force which attracts the body. Measured in Newtons. This is caused by the pull of gravity.

    On Earth 1 kg = 10N

  7. Weight = Mass x Gravitational Strength

  8. For Every Force There Is An Equal Opposite Force Called Resultant Forces

  9. If an object in stationary and has no resultant force on it the object will continue to stay stationary

  10. If an object is stationary and a resultant force acts on it the object will accelerate in the direction of resultant force

  11. I f an object is already moving and no resultant force acts on it the object will continue to move at the same speed and the same direction

  12. velocity:

    Speed with a given direction

  13. Acceleration:

Id how quickly something is speeding up. example- how quickly velocity is changing
