1. INPUT DEVICES

   • computer mouse- allows user control the position of a cursor on a screen
   • Games controller- allows the user to control an avatar on the games console
   • TV remote- allows user to switch between broadcasts on a screen
   • Microphone- allows a sound to be either projected louder or saved in another device
   • keyboard- allows user to type data into a device
   • Camera- allows user to take a photo and store it.

2. OUTPUT DEVICES

   • Speaker- projects a noise louder
   • Headphones- makes noise that is louder the closer you are to it
   • TV- projects image/ film
   • Monitor- projects image/ film
   • Game Controller- gets an order from another device to vibrate
   • Printer- prints an image onto a piece of paper, the image was chosen by the user

3. STORAGE

   • MAGNETIC
     • Hard disks
     • Floppy disks- mostly used on video game cartrodges
     • Magnetic tape- commonly used in old cassette tapes
   • SOLID STATE
     • Drum memory- used in many early computors
     • RAM drive- used in operating systems as second storage
     • secure digital( SD) Very commonly used in portable devices
   • OPTICAL
     • Compact Disc(CD)
     • Digital video disc( DVD)
     • Blu-ray
