   • Shiny and Lustrous appearance
   • Conducts heat & electricity
   • Malleable and Ductile

2. Semi- Metals

   • elements difficult to classify because properties are in both classes.

3. Electrons

   • Nucleus is in the center
   • 2 electrons on the first shell
   • 8 electrons on the second shell
   • Last level of electrons is the valence level or shell
   • Further away from the nucleus the higher the energy level of the electron
     • first shell has less energy than second shell
