Hypotenuse Hypotenuse Adjacent Leg

Sin(A)=a/c Sin(B)=b/c

Cos(A)=b/c Cos(B)=a/c

Tan(A)=a/b Tan(B)=b/a

Properties

Sin(A)=Cos(B)

Cos(A)=Sin(A)

Tan(A) is reciprocal Tan(B)

8.5- Angles of Elevation and Depression

Properties

-Angle of Elevation = Angle of Depression

-Diagonal acts as a transversal, cutting through the top and bottom of the Z chart

-Angles of elevation and depression are formed by this transversal

-Top and bottom of the Z chart are parallel lines
