Chromatography

A technique that is used to isolate particular substances present in a mixture

Chromatography is used mainly for mixtures of organic compounds

Applications include the identification of :

>drugs present in blood

>sugars in fruit juice

>Hydrocarbons in oil

>Pollutant gases in exhaust fumes

>Pesticides in water and soil
