Solve the following problem

The radio station 90's hits broadcasts radio signals with a frequency of 1.999 x \(10^8\) Hz. If the waves travel through air at a speed of 3 x \(10^8\) m/s, determine the wavelength and the period of the waves

Solution

1. Wavelength

λ = \(\frac{v}{f}\) = \(\frac{3 x10^8 }{1.999 x 10^8}\) = 1.5 m

2. Period

T = \(\frac{1}{f}\) = \(\frac{1}{1.999x10^8}\) = 5x10^-9

Example 2
