About robotics mind maps

GoConqr Original

What robotics mind maps cover

These maps bring together different parts of the Robotics unit. Industrial Robot Components organises parts such as the controller, arm, driver and end effector. Sensors covers vision, tactile, range and force or torque sensing. Other maps explore programming methods, power sources and medical robots.

Using a map to revise

Start with Industrial Robot Components if you want to review the main parts of a robot. Follow the branches and explain each part in your own words. For a more mathematical topic, SCARA introduces joint representation, coordinate systems and a Denavit-Hartenberg table. You can compare it with the map on Analytical Inverse Kinematics as you review movement.

After studying a map, use a quiz on the unit page to check what you remember. Switch to flashcards when you want to revisit individual terms. You could also make your own mind map to organise a topic.

Frequently asked questions

Which mind map should I start with?

Start with Industrial Robotics for an introduction to industrial robots, or choose Industrial Robot Components if you want to focus on their parts. The components map covers the controller, arm, driver and end effector, with examples of different grippers.

Do the maps cover kinematics and control?

Yes. SCARA includes joint representation, coordinate systems and a Denavit-Hartenberg table. There are also maps on analytical inverse kinematics and robot kinematics, as well as Adaptive Manipulator Control: A Case Study. You can choose one according to the topic you are revising.

Are these mind maps free to use?

Yes. Every resource listed here is free to open and study without an account. The maps were made by GoConqr users, rather than by GoConqr. A free account also lets you make your own mind maps, quizzes, flashcards and notes, and save quiz scores.
