     • Forgetting by decay or displacement
     • To transfer info to the STM you have to pay attention to it
     • Three sensory stores: Iconic(visual), Echoic(sounds),Haptic(touch)
   • Short term memory(STM)
     • Duration of 30 sec
       • lasts longer if rehearsed
     • forgetting by decay or interference
     • transfers to LTM if rehearsed
   • Long term memory(LTM)
     • forgetting by decay
   • limitations
     • too simple as it doesnt say anything about the types of LTM (CW)
     • Nothing about flash bulb memories
     • Info can flow from LTM to STM

   • Measure the capacity of the STM
   • Given a list of 4 numbers
   • list increases until the p cant recall anymore
