1. Sensory memory

   • Capacity
     • Very large. Can take in more information than we can handle.
     • Can only store information for 1 - 3 seconds.

2. Short term memory

   • Capacity
     • Able to store information for 15 - 20 seconds.
     • Can hold 5 - 9 new pieces of separate information.

3. Long term memory

   • Capacity
     • Has an unlimited capacity.
     • Permanent storage of information
   • Explicit memory
   • Implicit memory
