3 stimuli, all songs: Dollhouse, Rise & Fall, Running
- Rise & Fall depicted celebrity lives, pleasing "fans" but small mistakes escalate and become scandalous, amplified in today's social media era, as cancel culture prevails.
- Dollhouse was far more immersive, analysing gave me many ideas
- Artaudian elements used in music video
- Symbolic world created using a seemingly normal doll-house
- Symbolic objects represent duality, e.g a smiling dressed-up skeleton in her smoking brother's room, to dolls with blacked-out eyes hiding behind make-up
- Clock ticking to make viewer uncomfortable
- Doll-like stiff jerky movement
- Flashing between scenes
- Spelling Dollhouse, "repeated sounds have a hypnotic effect" -Artaud
- Visuals: a dim flickering blue light, allowing more shadows and darkness, coveying how she "sees things no-one else sees."
- Visual poetry effectively emphasises what this song portrays: not everything is always as it seems.

Intentions
- Initially
- We intended to help the audience understand the negative impacts of societal expectations on young women.
- I wanted the audience to be shocked into confronting their own attitudes through dark humour and satire
- These intentions have developed
- Instead of focussing inclusively on gender prejudice, we intend to show women's potential, with female pioneers through the eras, while highlighting their undermined struggles
- Inform the audience about sexism throughout the eras, engaging them through Bretchian techniques, dark humour and satire
- Although successful women face bigger hurdles, they seem overshadowed by men and society fails to credit them equally. So I want to inform the audience about inspiring women, labelled "controversial" so they can re-consider their perspoectives.

Lyric from Dollhouse "put on your doll faces" inspired me to research the change in societal expectations on women
- Nora from A Doll's House
- objectified as a submissive doll
- symbolised every woman's oppression
- play banned, "contraversial"
- revealing that era's prejudice, women shouldn't realise how deprived they were
- freed herself from patriarchy, "dolls-house"
- I want this piece to reflect this metaphor, getting out of the dollhouse
