1. Central Executive

   • Monitors incoming data, makes decisions and allocates slave systems to tasks

2. Phonological Loop

   • Deals with auditory infomation
   • Articulatory Process
     • Stores the words you hear
   • Phonological Store
     • Allows miantenance rehersal
       • Capacity of the loop = 2 seconds worth of what you can say

3. Visuo-Spatial Sketchpad

   • Stores visual and/or spatial infomation
   • Visual Cache
     • Stores visual data
   • Inner Scribe
     • Records the arrangement of objects in the visual field

4. Episodic Buffer

   • Long Term Memory
   • Temporary store for infomation integrating the visual, spatial and verbal
   • Capacity: 4 chunks
   • Links working memory to LTM and other processes (perception)
