1. What is memory? Memory is the mental activities of obtaining, storing, maintaining, and obtaining information.

   • Learning and memory, which were also long thought to be essential concerns in psychology, sociology, and philosophy, have lately gained prominence in the field of neurobiology, which is a merging of multiple fields of study.

2. The importance or memory: Memory is important in many aspects of our existence. Humans cannot function or imagine the future without having a recollection of the past.

3. Main classifications of the mind: The three major categories of memory that scientists interacts with nowadays :sensory memory, short-term memory, and long-term memory.

   • Short-term memory relates to the memory systems found in the brain that is responsible for recalling information for only a limited time.
     • Sensory memory is the processing of knowledge such as sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch that reaches the mind through all the sense frontal cortex and is relayed by the thalamus.
       • Long-term memory pertains to the infinite storing of knowledge that can be kept for extended periods, including for lifespan.

4. Why then is memory significant to all of us? Remembrances are important in our life since they help us learn how to be good individuals. Our memories may educate us on crucial life lessons, display interests, and abilities, and bring happiness and delight.

5. Memory plays an important part in life, representing the old as the history and allowing for the reuse of all current and historical events, as well as fully managing what occurred and what was going to happen.
