ORMAN HOROZU ( TETRAO TETRIX) Finally it is one of the flying poultry animals seesn in the mountainous areas of İZMİR. It is now among the extinct creatures in Anatolia.
VAŞAK (LYNX) The lynxes in forested and rocky areas away from humans are endangered. Although its exact distribution is not known in our country, it is known to spread in the Black Sea, Central Anatolia, Agean, Southeastern Anatolia and Mediterranean Regions.
PÜRTÜKLÜ SEMENDER ( TRITURUS KARELINII) Its height is 12-16 cm, the color of the dorsal area is yellowish in young, gray and brown in older ones. Spots are irregularly lined up and dark in color. The abdomen is lighter in color( yellow or orange-red) compared to the back and has blue spots on it. Besides the fin on the upper part of the tail, there is also a fin on the lower side. In Turkey Agean, Marmara and Black Sea region are widespread.
KARAKULAK ( CARACAL CARACAL) It lives around Africa, Central Asia and Soutwest Asia in the world. In Turkey, Eastern Anatolia, The Black Sea and can be seen in all regions except East Thrace.
ADİ DENİZ KAPLUMBAĞASI ( CARETTA CARETTA) The most important spawning region is Yumurtalık district of Adana and the coast of Belek, Anamur, Köyceğiz and Dalyan. It is kept under protection as it is under extinction. Their numbers are gradually decreasing due to the irresponsible behavior of human beings and light pollution.
OKLU KİRPİ ( HYSTRIX INDICA) Africa and the Mediterranean countries as well as India and Nepal, Indian porcupines living in the most Hatay, Turkey; Adana, Adıyaman, Mersin, Antalya, Muğla, Aydın and İzmir seen.
AKDENİZ FOKU ( MONACHUS MONACHUS) Mediterranean monk seals, which choose quiet and secluded rocky beaches as their habitat are directly affected by the deterioration of these areas. There is a large amount of Mediterranean Monk Seals in Foça of İzmir.
