Question Answer
CELLS by me(mahir)
First of all...What is a cell? Cells are the basic building blocks of all living things ....like a lego block.
what is a microscope? A microscope is used to magnify cells and atoms that are invisible to the undressed eye.
What is a light microscope? Light from a mirror or a lamp passes through a specimen or object. The light then passes through a series of lenses that causes the specimen to appear bigger blah blah blah....
what is a monocular microscope? a microscope that only has one eyepiece ocular lenses.
Loading... this flashcard was stolen, then murdered then ripped then swallowed then regurgitated and finally flushed down a toilet by a rude pirate who lived in a shoe with a granny.
what is a stereo microscope? its like having two monocular microscopes joined together, with each one focusing on the same point but from different angles.
What is magnification? The magnification of the microscope tells you how much bigger the image is than the real object .For example if the microscope has a magnification of over 9000.Then it is over 9000 times bigger than the object
What are electron microscopes? They use beams of tiny particles called electrons instead of light, and are able to magnify upto a million times.
What is mitochondria? they are known as powerhouses of cell. They are organelles that act like a digestive system.
How does cells reproduce? During the inter-phase,the cells take in nutrients, grows, and duplicate its chromosomes.During the cell division phase, the nucleus divides in a process called mitosis and then divided nuclei are established in separate cells in a process called cytokineses.(I don't expect you to know this)
what is the difference between plant and fungal cells? Fungal cells cant do photosynthesis and do not contain chloroplasts.
What is cancer? A disease by an uncontrolled division of abnormal cells.

what are special cells Multi cellular organisms are modified to carry out a particular function.
