April 29th 1915 British forces surrendered to Turkish forces at Kut in Mesopotamia
December 7th 1915 Lloyd George becomes British Prime Minister
February 1st 1916 Germany’s unrestricted submarine warfare campaign started
April 6th 1916 USA declared war on Germany
December 9th 1916 Britain captured Jerusalem from the Turks
November 11th 1918 Germany signed an armistice with the Allies – the official date of the end of World War One.
