  1. Four irregular fluid filled cavities that communicate with one another
    1. Two upper cavities (left and right lateral ventricles)
      1. Situated one on each side of the midsagittal plane
    2. Third ventricle
      1. Situated in the midsagittal plane
    3. Fourth ventricle
      1. Located in the hindbrain
Spinal Cord
1. Grey substance
2. White substance
3. Spinal nerves arise from two roots at the side of spinal canal
4. Spinal cord and nerves work together to transmit and recieve sensory, motor and reflex messages
