1. How has it affected the world?

   • Higher Temperatures
     • The world has been warming since the 1950s. Now there are more hot days than cold days due to climate change
   • Heavier Storms & Floods
     • The earth's atmosphere can hold more and more moisture as it warms. So, this causes more storms and floods around the world
   • Heat Waves
     • They will become hotter, longer and more frequent all over the world

2. What are the impacts in the future?

   • Massive Migrations
     • Climate refugees are real and will become a bigger problem in the future. It is estimated there will be 1 billion by 2050
   • More Extreme Hurricanes
     • Hurricanes will increase in violence due to climate change causing more deaths , refugees and damage
   • Extinctions
     • Temperature that surpasses the physiological tolerance of the species will be one of the main causes of extinction in the future

3. How can we help defeat it?

   • Don't waste food
     • Methane comes from food rotting in landfills & it it is a lot stronger than CO2
   • Ride a bike/ carpool
     • Riding a bike uses a small amount of fossil fuels and it's a pollution-free way of trasnportation
   • Unplug electronics when not using them
     • Most of the energy coming from our houses use fossil fuels, so, when you unplug them you are reducing your carbon emissions

4. What is causing it?

   • Deforestation
     • Forests absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen into the air but when we cut down trees the process is reversed
   • Increase In Population
     • More people means the need for more resources, which means speeding up the increase in greenhouse gas emissions
   • Greenhouse gases are increasing
     • When there are more greenhouse gases in the air, the air holds more heat, which causes climate change
