1.1 Acute: hypothalamus, sympathetic branch of ANS, adrenal medulla, adrenaline, fight or flight
1.2 Chronic: hypothalamus, releases CRF, pituitary gland, releases ATCH, adrenal cortex, sugar for energy
2 If stress persists: damage to adrenal gland, immune suppression, increase risk of CHD
3 When stress is gone
3.1 hypothalamus, activates parasympathetic brand of ANS, adrenal medulla stops adrenaline, heart rate breathing, rate and blood pressure returns to normal
