Hippocrates

  1. Phlegm: Winter (sneezing, colds)
  2. Blood: Spring (nosebleeds)
  3. Black bile: Autumn (dry skin, vomiting and diarrhea)
  4. Yellow Bile: Summer (fevers, vomiting, yellow bile)

  1. He showed importance of observation and careful recording
  2. Could be used for future patients
3. The Hippocratic Oath
  1. Ensures high standards
  2. Still used today
  3. For benefit of patient (not money)
