1. Value of fear.
2. The theme of the story is fear because Tris doesn't know who she is or where she belongs. She joins dauntless because she has always admired them.
Main Conflict
1. Conflict-- The Erudite are trying to take over the Abnegation. She makes an army by injecting a serum into the dauntless member. They go to the Abnegation section and start killing them.
2. Cause-- The Abnegation wasn't following the rules so the Erudite wanted to overthrow Abnegation. But when they injected the serum they found out who the divergent was and they killed them.
Characters
1. Tris
  1. Tris is strong, brave, and head on. She likes Four. Her best friends are Christina and Will. She is also Divergent.
2. Christina
  1. She was a Candor. She went to dauntless. She isn't Divergent. She likes Will.
3. Four
  1. Four's real name is Tobias. He likes Tris. He is strong, brave and a good fighter. He is a divergent.
Setting
1. It was probably in 2028.
2. A futuristic Chicago
