1. Protons

   • Protons are the bottom number minus the top number
     • Or Atomic Mass - Atomic Weight

2. Electrons

   • Electrons are the number on the top
     • Also known as the atomic number

3. Neutrons

   • Neutrons are the number on the bottom
     • Also known as atomic mass

4. Other things to remember

   • The maximum number of electrons in the energy shells are 2 in the first shell and 8 in all the rest.
   • Metals on the left non-metals on the right
     • (On the periodic table)
