     • poor resistance to corrosion
     • cannot be heat treated easily

2. Stainless Steel

   • FUNCTIONS

     • cutlery
     • sinks
   • PROPERTIES
     • hard
     • tough
     • resistant to corrasion
   • ADVANTAGES
     • easy to work with
     • hard>doesn't break or dent
     • fire resistant> ideal for kitchen ware
   • DISADVANTAGES
     • harder to weld than steel
     • not as malleable

3. Carbon steel

     • building structures
   • PROPERTIES
     • good tensile strength
     • low melting point
     • not malleable
   • ADVANTAGES
     • last long time> GTS
     • easily welded
     • remains same shape when hit against

     • lightweight
     • non reactive
     • non corrosive
   • ADVANTAGES
     • lightweight> easily used
     • doesn't corrode>ideal for kitchen ware
   • DISADVANTAGES
     • not a good conductor of electricity

     • easy to work with due to its properties

     • resistant to corrosion
     • high melting point
   • ADVANTAGES
     • easy to draw out>used more than once
     • ideal to be used in houses>resistant to corrosion
     • easy to do soldering>high melting point
   • DISADVANTAGES
     • breaks very easily> weak
     • harder to work with
