Components

  1. Resistor

    • A resistor reduces current flow in a circuit.
  2. Capacitor

    • A capacitor stores energy
  3. Coil

    • A coil transforms low volts to thousands of volts.
  4. Transformer

    • Takes electricity of one voltage and changes it into another.
  5. Conductor

    • Semi-conductor
      • The conductivity of a semiconductor is somewhere between that of an insulator, which has almost no conductivity, and a conductor, which has almost full conductivity.
    • An electrical conductor is a substance in which electrical charge carriers, usually electrons, move easily from atom to atom with the application of voltage.
  6. LED

    • A light emitting diode. It lets of light when connecting to something.
  7. LDR

    • An LDR is a component that when light is shining on it. This allows them to be used in light depending circuits. A light dependant resistor.
  8. PCB

    • A printed circuit board. This is in most electical aplliances to make them work. Mouses is a good example
  9. Themister

    • There are two types of thermistors: Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) and Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC). With an NTC thermistor, when the temperature increases, resistance decreases. Conversely, when temperature decreases, resistance increases. This type of thermistor is used the most.
